I am fascinated by the richness of the Orme name history and by how intertwined the history of so many people is due to migrations,... I was always told my father\'s lineage was from Germany but I found out it was directly from England on his father\'s side and Germany on his mother\'s side. I would love to go back far enough to find the Scandanavian connection but that is quite hard but I do have a few centuries of my Orme lineage in England. I was not aware how many Orme\'s existed until recently. |

Well my orme roots, as with many of us, are in Staffordshire. From my dna, possibly the Norwegian vikings. Although not just them. Anyway, if you want to contact me, feel free. I\'m looking for some of my staff family, so you never know. |

My wife\'s family are ORMEs from Bakewell & Chapel en Le Frith, Derbyshire in the 1890s. Before that: Coventry, UK c.1820. Before and around that time: silversmiths in Nottingham, UK. One Isaac ORME married one Catherine BARROW in 1812 in Nottingham. The family believe that their name came from France. |

Hello fellow Ormes! I stumbled across this website while searching the National Archives for information on Ormes, I have also been researching my family tree and know that the Orme name appeared in the Domesday Book. Through researching the family tree I am aware that my family was very largely concentrated in the West Midlands, Stoke-on-Trent area, before moving to Yorkshire where they seem to have stayed. Please feel free to find me on Facebook or Ancestry.co.uk - we must all be related somehow!! :) |

Spiritually all us ormes are descended from pagan RED psycho paths who plundered the world with there Viking playmates may even be from the devil himself as orme means serpent the one who tempted eve in the garden of eden still we can all live our past down. |

I have suffered complete discrimination from the ancestry associated with the name orme French kings etc both spiritual / sectarian has any other ormes suffered the same from pagan Satanist organisations and people I have the left hand path used on my life all the time which considering the ormes were the biggest pagans off all is quite strange. Has any other ormes experienced the same or do I have to blame the usual suspects relatives. |

After tracking my Orme in Michigan in the early 1900s, I\'m surprised to find we are, in fact, British! The possible Nordic connection is fun. I thought I\'d find nothing on my 3rd great grandmother as no one seemed to know much about her. Anxious to scan the guestbook to see what hints I can find to help flesh out my tree. |
