I have suffered complete discrimination from the ancestry associated with the name orme French kings etc both spiritual / sectarian has any other ormes suffered the same from pagan Satanist organisations and people I have the left hand path used on my life all the time which considering the ormes were the biggest pagans off all is quite strange. Has any other ormes experienced the same or do I have to blame the usual suspects relatives.

After tracking my Orme in Michigan in the early 1900s, I\'m surprised to find we are, in fact, British! The possible Nordic connection is fun. I thought I\'d find nothing on my 3rd great grandmother as no one seemed to know much about her. Anxious to scan the guestbook to see what hints I can find to help flesh out my tree.

Just thought I\'d say Hi. I come from a long line of Orme\'s mostly as far as i can tell they came from the west midlands, well at least for the last several generations anyway.

I\'m very pleased to have found this site.
My my most recent Orme lineage descends from my great great grandfather John Pickney Orme (1852-1936), who arrived in the Arizona territory in 1873. He came from Ohio via wagon train and was a pioneer of sorts that helped grow Arizona in its beginnings.
My family went on to found a school on our cattle ranch north of Phoenix- (www.ormeschool.org). Our story mostly stems from there, although we are all over the world now.
English and Danish ancestry is on my paternal and maternal sides, and we basically look like Danes. I\'d like to look into more of our European history.
This is a very cool site, many thanks to Andrew and Brenda!

Any ORME (males) reading this - I do encourage you to take a YDNA self-test --and I'd recommend the YDNA-37 att www.ftdna.com This is enough to show surname-line connections back to ORME LE GUIDON- if you happen to be Haplogroup I1.

Great site! I am a descendant of Robert Orme who was released from prison in 1673 and sent to America. The release document states he was from Burton-upon-Trent, England. I'm looking for evidence of his background, parents, etc..
Thanks!!
