1628 B.C.E. actually means 1,628 years Before Current Era, or 1,628 years before today. Apparently the author of this website got it confused with B.C., which would have put it at 3627 years ago (or 3627 B.C.E.) as he contends.

Instead, if you do the math from the date the Discovering Archaeology article was written in A.D. 1999 (1,999-1,628), you come up with A.D. 371, which is not, obviously, 3600 years ago. So that little tid bit of evidence is not supportive of the argument.

Not to mention, what benefit is it to anyone to hush something like this up? The ever present "They" were foolish enough to let it leak, but smart enough to cover it all up again? Conspiracy theorists unite! Seriously...

Yes the information on the planet itself is very good but the actual stats are way off. Like comon where did he get 2003 from. I bet it was such a dissapointment to him when the wrold didnt change and nothing happened. Surely this fella needs to sit have a good look at his calcualtions. After all if the Mayans knew all along and he got his information from books and scriptures wrote by these people, would he not have got a bit closer to 2012 dec 21. than 2003. What *****
