I personally adored this visit to your blog that I ascertained to be nicely designed and presented, We shall certainly be popping here constantly to ascertain how it is developing and perhaps make some further compliments if that is useful to you. We've today arrived back from our annual holiday in Spain, we were staying at Cabo Roig, a favourite of ours, and needed to be cheered up after having to deal with the post-vacation blues, so locating your great blog was really the pick-me-up I needed to cheer me up and get back to normal. Our trips to Spain (and Cabo Roig specially) consistently gets the energy recharged which help me face another year ahead, the problem is that getting back home makes us a tad unhappy and melancholy. Browsing on the web for some informative websites is often the cure and so locating your web site was a great help in getting over the Cabo Roig melancholy. It's definitely a pleasure to identify a internet site that is suitably planned out and nicely displayed, that I determined your one to be most certainly and I'm certain that it's fantastic that you can discover when someone has appreciated their visit and also to understand that the time and effort hasn't been wasted in creating it. That being said next time I return from Spain, we will understand the best place to show up for a pick me up. Many thanks. |

My father was an FE on Connies but then went on to the 76th,17th and also the 3rd (124's). Alot of good memories living on base. I came back to Charleston as an Engineer on 141's with the 300th and flew with them until 1982 when I went to Saudi Arabia as a pilot flying Lears and G2's. Also flew GIV's in Saudi Arabia as well. First flight on any airplane was with my father down to Panama on a 121. Worked at the aero club washing and waxing airplanes for rides.....in the back seat. If anybody out there knows the whereabouts of Rick"Rocky"Rochelle let me know. Met up with Rocky at the club one night. He was a Load in one of the other Reserve squadrons. Lost touch after the UTA weekend. Wouldn't swear to it but I think the 41st was the parent squadron for the 300th. It would be interesting to find out. Nice straight forward web site. |

PILOT IN 41st 1965 thru Aug 1966 when I was transferred to Anderson AFB, Guam. The Personnel Records in St Louis, MO has lost my Form 5 Flight records from the 76th/41st years and I would like to contact anyone here from that era. I need proof I flew into South Vietnam. I flew into Tan Son Nhut, Cam Ranh Bay and Nha Trang Air Bases in South Vietnam. |

I arrived at Wheelus Field in October, 1952 as an Aircraft Mechanic and transferred to Charleston AFB in April (?), 1954 as an Aircraft Mechanic. I was discharged (honorably) in October, 1954. I would like to hear from anyone who might remember me or might not remember me from that period of time. Some of the names that I remember from back then are John Marazzi, jr, ( from Brooklyn, I think), Robert Bancroft, James O. Hall, Paul Ashenbrenner (sp?). I was on the Ground Crew of both tail # 2615 and later on tail #2640. Please let me hear from anyone who might be familar with me or any of these people - my mailing address is 523 E Broadway, Glenwood, Arkansas 71943 - phone # (870)356-2241 and Cell # (870) 223-6898 and my E-mail # is houstonandbillie@yahoo.com - many thanks!!! |

Pilot 1971-1974; still remember most missions as my introduction to military commraderie, wartime intrigue, world geography, and my persistent love of flying in all sorts of weather. Still maintain solid friendships from that era. Thanks for providing a nostalgic look back. |
