researching two nurses from Salem, MA who came to Athens GA in 1920s

I am trying to find where Agnes P. and Rose Madgalena (Lena) McGinley of Salem, MA, would have gotten their nursing training prior to 1910. They were working as nurses at the Salem MA Hospital 1907-1910. Agnes came to Atlanta, GA, in 1918 as a hospital superintendent (according to 1918 Salem MA city directory). She was the head nurse in the Athens General Hospital, Athens, GA, when it opened in 1921. Will be happy to share info on these two ladies in Athens, if you\'re interested. Lena came to Athens as the TB nurse in 1924. Thank you!

Just found this site and hope others in my class come on board. Would love to hear from others in my class. In the past two years my husband passed away, I suffered a bad accident, sold my house, and now living independently in a condo next door to my daughter. I start my 90 with a very different life.

Reunion being planned for weekend of September 8-10th. Red Sox tickets for Friday night. Dinner at Davio\'s Saturday night. Most of us are staying at Arcadian Hotel in Brookline. We have tried to celebrate and get together every Fall. This is our big 40th Reunion. I live in Southern Maine and work in NH as a CCNS. Hope everyone and especially the class of 1983 is doing well. Our class continues to remain close and we have our own FB Class of 1983 page. Patty Lynch and I have organized Reunions every Fall (except during Covid). Our big 40th is September 8-10. Plans include Red Sox game Friday night. About a dozen of us staying at The Arcadian in Brookline. Dinner at Davio\'s Saturday night. We get classmates from all over New England & even a couple from California, Kansas City etc.....
I ended up going back to Northeastern for my BSN and then UMMC in Worcester for my CCNS/ACNP. I have worked a couple decades as a Critical Care CNS hoping to retire in the next couple of years. Hope all is well with everyone.

Living in sunny Florida and enjoying life and grandchildren. Retired at 70. My last employment was as DON for a home health agency in Upstate NY. We have enjoyed traveling around the globe and would love to hear from classmates.

Time has passed. I retired in September 2021. I am looking forward to this new chapter of my life. I hope all are well.

I retired from Maine CDC 10 years ago in Public Health Nursing administration. But, I continue to serve as the pastor of a United Methodist Church. I was ordained in 1999. We continue to live in central Maine. We have 2 adult children, a granddaughter, and 3 great grandchildren. We have been blessed to be able to spend both last summer and this at our cottage on a small lake and have family with us a lot.

I was so pleased to see this great website. Thank you for all of the hard work. I am living in Tucson, Arizona. Been feeling very blessed for my training and preparation for these pandemic times. Home health nursing has been challenging in challenging times.

So sad to see 2020 alumni day cancelled. So look forward to going each year. Can’t wait for 2021 date. I would encourage all nedhson grads to go. We have a core group From our class that attends each year. It’s great to reconnect, and new faces are always welcome. We love to swap stories from other classes, that attend. We get a delicious breakfast, lunch, and Ceuta speaker. If u have not been in touch for years or have a speaker in mind, please reach out to officers! Realized today that this site exists. I retired last year after 20 years as psych nurse practitioner. Same husband, two grandchildren. All is good except for struggles related to rare illness called mast cell activation syndrome. Love to travel and ballroom dance. Best wishes to everyone in our class.
