I know for a fact that you can actually hit a squirrel while bike riding. Several years ago some of us were coming down Petty Gap Road near Woodbury when a squirrel ran across the road with an acorn in its mouth. One of our group did run over the squirrel, he dropped his nut , dusted himself off and ran across the road. He appeared to be pretty upset about losing the nut but it did happen. Just ask AB if you don't believe me!

I haven't hit a squirrel, but I did hit a cat that bolted in front of me. The cat kept going while me and my bike hit the road.
