I had the privilege of meeting Joel and his wife today while working at Roller Mills Antique Mall. It was mentioned to him that I would be attending school for sound engineering and he was very glad to show me his studio and some of the projects he was working on. He told me about his website and I got to learn about a great musician. So I just wanted to write a thank you for taking the time to talk. I really appreciated it.

Happy to find this site! Love this music; listening for 60 years! The voices, the harmonies, the sentiment. Makes me feel sorry for the kids who grew up after the 1960s. (Didn\'t find Strobel, but pleased anyway...)

I went to RETS school with you in the mid 60\'s and remembered that you sang acappella. I attended a conference in the early 90\'s and met a Major Joel Katz but he was taller then me so I knew I had not found you. But a name search today turned up this site and the picture of you in 1975 was all I needed. I found the Joel I knew 48 years ago. Glad to see you stayed with singing and stayed in Jersey. I think I still have the 45 you gave me back then.

I\'ve written you before and don\'t expect you to get back to me - I know you\'ve hit a rough patch to say the least. The first time I heard the song \"Key to My Heart\" was by your group w/ you on lead and I never knew there was an original version by Tony and the Twilighters - and it didn\'t matter because your version blew me away as did so many of your recordings back in the 80\'s. I wish you well Joel and hope you get behind a microphone again soon buddy!
