I'm trying to find out about my grandfather. He served in this regiment during World War two and was regimental sergeant major. His name was Sidney Castro. I don't know which battalion he was in and much has been lost, since he died so I don't know his service number. I do know that he served in Italy and North Africa, I know he was wounded in action and I think his battalion was based in Maidstone.
If anyone can help, or advise me I'd be really grateful.
