7th Buffs war diaries Sept - Oct 1918

I am researching information on a book that I am writing about PTSD across the generations and wondered if anyone has a copy of the war diaries for Sept/Oct 1918. Looking for information about Cpl Edwin Newing A Coy 7 Buffs. He was critically wounded around this time and I require more info than I can get through normal channels. His records were lost in the fire at Kew in 1940. Thanks for your help! John

John

I have the diary and will take a look but Other Ranks are rarely mentioned.

I can’t find any Edward Newings in The Buffs during WW1. The only Newing who served in the 7th Battalion was AE Newing, a Special Reservist from Ladywell who was wounded in Oct / Nov 1916. He also served with the 8th Battalion. He survived the war

I meant there were no Edwin Newings rather than Edward

I copied the diary at The National Archives. The diaries have since been made available on Ancestry and as bound volumes from Naval and Military Press
