Father - William A. Chapman MM (stretcher bearer) North Africa, Italy and Austria. I know little or nothing about his service history with the Buffs but would like too.
Great Uncle (p/grandmother's maiden name was Hall) - W.M. Hall. I have found two WW1 medals inscribed 4433 W.M. Hall R.W.Kent R. Again I know nothing of him.
Both these men hail from Devon so I am curious as to how they ended up in Kentish Regiment.
I have searched on both surnames with no result, strange.
