Our Daughter is out growing her 20" bike, looking upgrade her to starter adult bike

Look at our options in either a new or used starter adult bike in a small frame size similar to her big brother bike like a Trek 7100 hybrid bike for family rides on the greenway and/or touring state parks. What kind of discount does the local bike shop do? On bike or just gear and/or service?
