This is not directly a cycling topic. My daughter in law Melissa Collings, in addition to being a wonderful wife to my son Stephen and mother to two of my grandchildren, is a budding novelist.

The False Flat is about a young woman who happens to be a cyclist. I know the cycling term, “false flat” usually refers to a road that looks flat and should be easy, but isn’t.
