As you may know by now, Readyville was hit hard by a tornado Friday night. Over 20 homes, The Mill and the gas station are badly damaged or gone. The roof was blown off the lovely antebellum house across from the post office. But the post office still stands.

Many hands are needed to help clean up the debris that was scattered about there. These are our roads and our landmarks. Many wonderful memories have been made at the Mill and the gas station and along these roads. If you can spare a couple hours this week, I know the community will appreciate it.

Wear good sturdy boots, work gloves, and sunscreen. Just show up and sign in.
