Cow Bell Challenge Time Trial

What’s the Cow Bell Challenge?

As part of the Saturday club ride on July 30th, MBC will feature a fun short time trial up Lynch Hill. Using Strava Segments, we will capture and record participant's time. The coveted Cow Bell Award will be presented to both the Queen of Mountain (QOM) and King of Mountain (KOM) during the general meeting announcements along with age group recognition.

The Time trial basically begins when you to turn onto Lynch Hill Road (Strava Lynch Speed Zone segment) and ends at the top of the hill (listen for the bells ringing). Distance is approximately 1 mile with 325 feet of climbing.

How to participate?

There is no cost or signup required to participate in this event. All you need is to be an active MBC member and have a Strava account to record your results (Strava is free and available on Apple or Android app stores). Also, be sure to set your Strava privacy activity settings to 'public' so we can view your results.

What else do I need?

To record your results, you will need a smartphone or bike computer that syncs to your Strava account (current Garmin and Wahoo computers support Strava). If you don’t have a smart bike computer, you can use the RideWithGPS app on a smartphone to sync with Strava.

What other fine print do I need to know?

While we encourage those with e bikes to participate, they will not be eligible for awards.
