The ride leaves from the Woodbury Public Square at 8:15 a.m. to allow the Courthouse bathroom time to be opened for use prior to ride yet give us an early departure to beat the heat. The route will follow Hwy 53 to Liberty. The old Sparta Pike to Dowelltown will yield to the Smith Fork Road to Mt. Zion. A west turn will bring us into Alexandria on the Lower Helton Road on its newly paved surface. The return route is Goose Creek, Liberty Hill, Round Top, Hurricane Creek to Hwy 53 and back. It was 50 miles with two good climbs and one heart stent the last time I tried it. There are store stops in Liberty and Alexandria. The McMinnville Clan invites you to this summer challenge. The Comfort Zone ride is an out and back to Liberty beginning the same time and place.
