My grandfather was Leonard Thatcher. He served with C company of the 5 division The Buffs. He was captured in France and sent to Stalag VIIIb/ 344. I know he fought in France near Doullens. Does anyone have any information or pictures perhaps or maybe somebody knew him? He never talked about the war apart from a few small snippets. He died long before I was born.
