Well, after a desparate fight with Canadian Customs the long bike was liberated and we were on our way and on schedule. Rode into Vancouver (beautiful) on Thurs pm, great bike paths (bikes everywhere), took the water taxis back across the bay on the way home. Great supper at Matilda's and finally to bed at midnight (that's 2 am Mboro time).
Friday ride was 60 miles, half of which was heavy urban traffic (not too bad) and half beautiful farm country. Great day. Friendly, courteous, bike savvy drivers.
Today is even better!! Not near as hot (mid 80s) and super beautiful scenery along Billingham Bay and Chuckanut Drive. Heading for Oak Harbor for the night. Right now we're a little off route in Anacortes, but not to worry, we WILL find our way.
I hope Larry didn't have to pull out his gun to get the long bike. And Larry, it was in the 70's in the Boro today.
Sounds like you all are having fun! Keep posting.
