We made it! We had three 100/100 days (100 miles/100 degrees) and a 95/95 day and finished yesterday before noon at the Loveless. This was a great trip. We camped one night and moteled the rest. The road surfaced improved over my 2004 trip with a 4 mile exception that was being repaved. There were no negative incidents on the journey, but do not stay at the Mathiston Motel. We met many fine residents along the way.
Mike and Stephen- Congratulations! Glad you all made it without running into any carpet-baggers! Maybe next year we could get a group together and do the Blue Ridge Parkway? I did it in 2003 and there is more support, stores, motels, etc. on the Parkway or very close to it.
