Team Manager Irish Team - World Championships 2018 - Applications for the post of Team Manager for the Irish Team to the 2018 World Championships in China should be sent to email@example.com This is a voluntary unpaid position.
We welcome new club Clann Eireann, Lurgan Co Armagh who have affilited to the Association for the coming season. The club is located at Lake Street, Lurgan and has one 40 x 20 court.We hope to see some of their players competing in our tournaments this season.
Top Ranked Player Award
At the end of the 2017- 2018 season, the players at the top of the rankings in Men`s Open Singles and Women's Open Singles will be presented with an award. Both awards will be sponsored by Mayo Crystal
The tournament calendar for the 2017-18 season has been updated. There is a change of dates for the Ballinrobe Open and the 3rd Wimens Open. THe Womens Open will be held in Newport, Co Tipperary on 1Saturday 25th. The Ballinrobe Open will be held on Sat & Sun 18th & 19th November.

Provincial Championships Dates in December (11 &12th, 18 & 19th) are set aside for provicial Championships. Provinces who intend to run tournament should contact Racquetball Ireland so their tournament is sanctioned and comes under RAI insurance. All Ireland Junior Uneven Championships The Under 9, 11, 13, 15, 17 Singles Championships will be held in Mitchelstown & Fermoy on Saturday 2nd December. The tournament is for boys and girls and teach must be under the required age on the 1st January 2017. Time permitting there will be a plate competition for 1st round losers so each players will get at least 2 matches

O`Callaghan & Ryder win Irish Open Congratulations to Donna Ryder and Noel O’Callaghan on winning the Open Singles divisions at the 35th Irish & 32nd Kilkenny Open 2017. Ryder defeated Toni Neary 15-14, 15-10 while O’Callaghan achieved another success at the Irish Open by defeating Mark Murphy 15-8, 15-6 in the final. Division winners: Mens B Singles - Gary Lynch (Queens), Mens C/D Singles - Jack Kearney(Araglen), Mens Novice Singles - Gary Delany(Kilkenny) Mens 40+ Singles - Noel O`Callaghan(Fermoy), Womens C/D Singles - Olivia Downey(Moycullen)
Junior Team compete inWorld Junior Championships in Minneapolis, USA The 12 member Irish Junior Team put in some grat performace at the IRF World Junior Championships in Minneapolis, USA from 5th - 11th November. Well done to team coaches are Mick Cunningham and Shea Russell. Our best results came in the boys doubles losing out in close matches in the quarters in Under 10, 12 & 14.. Coaching News Racquetball Ireland will support clubs who want to run a coaching clinics for adults and juniors at their clubs. Funds will be made available to clubs on application to the RAI. All courses must be undertaken by a qualified coach i.e a person who has done the RAI Foundation course. Please apply by emailing email@example.com . If your club does not have a qualified coach then the RAI will supply a coach for the session.
World Championships 2018 The IRF World Championships 2018 will be held in China. The IRF World Championships have been held every two years since 1981 and Ireland have competed in all expect two.

Castlebar Racquetball Club`s Autumn Competition has begun in An Sportlann, Castlebar with 37 players competitin. Coaching for boys & girls is every Thursday evening at 6.15pm.
Galmoy Squash & Racquetball Club has currently a league running with over 50 players taking part.
Ballinrobe Racquetball Club Team league has got underway with 24 players taking part.
