previously i have had two prior hybrids, the first one i had was years ago and he was very protective of me even though he was several years old when i rescued him. unfortantly i had to give him up after a year. the second one was a huge part of our family and she passed from cancer in 2009. until recently due to the huge whole that was left in my heart and my husbands we were not considering obtaining another one. But after a great deal of debate we are going to take the plunge and add to our family once more; i am impressed by what i have seen on this site and am seriously considering purchasing from this breeder because you can tell he understands that each pup has it own distinct personality and character;

My wife and I search most of last year trying to find a breeder that impressed us. When we found this site I did some researching to see if Starcrosswolves was what we were looking for, since several of the other breeders seemed to be a bit shady on giving details on their wolves. I\'ve got to tell you, being impressed with the site and talking to Bill was only the beginning. Bill truly does love his wolves, he is not just a business man with dogs for sale, I\'ve been out to his home twice and talked to him several times on the phone. If you just spend and a little time talking about wolves with him, you\'ll see that this is his passion and you will know that you are receiving more than just a dog. I\'ve only had my Sampson for a short time and it has been so much fun, you can really tell that he loves us as we love him so much. I\'m even keeping an eye out on the new additions to purchase another addition to the family. So if you\'re looking for a companion, you\'ve found the place you need look.

I drove down from Tulsa a few weeks ago to pick up one of Bill's pups. The habitats were set up in a manner to separate certain groups from others. The pups had a section set aside just for them and were bouncing over each other in good spirits. The little pup I came for was napping inside her den at the time. She was real shy at first but quickly opened up and became interested in everything around her. She is eating as healthy as she should be and loves walking through the wooded areas in the neighborhood. She is cautious about everything and you can tell when she is thinking about her next move, especially around obstacles (fallen logs, creek crossings, etc.). She is adjusting to her new surroundings quickly and gets along with other animals we come across really well. Thanks for the wonderful experience and the amazing little pup Bill.

I visited Bill's place in 2009 when I was considering getting one of his wolves. I went with a friend and had lots of questions. They were all answered to my satisfaction. I returned a few months later with my wife and we found a beautiful pup. We returned home and the pup got sick. I called Bill and he told me to IMMEDIATELY return the pup so he could see to its needs. Luckily my vet was able to take care of the problem. I've had my hybrid for over 2 1/2 years. She is like a member of the family. She plays with our five cats and is very happy to meet new people. She is extremely social and loved by all that come in contact with her. I would highly recommend buying a young pup from Bill on one condition. You have to be willing to spend a great amount of time with your new pup. They are not meant to be left alone. If you bond with your new pup, he or she will know their place in your home and be a very special loving animal. I would like to have another, but they are a lot of work. If you're willing to put in the time you will not regret it. If not, don't get one just so you can show it off. It's not fair to animal. I have never once regreted getting this beautiful animal. There is one downside though. Twice a year they will shed. And when I say "shed", I mean SHED. Ours is an indoor pet and we spend a lot of time vaccuming and sweeping. But to my wife and I, it's definitley worth it. Bottom line is I would recommend Starcross Wolves to serious responsible owners. This is my first post since I purchashed my hybrid. I wanted to be certain that I wasn't going to give out bad information by being to hasty. Also, I was in regular contact with the owner, Bill, during my first six to seven months of ownership for questions and advice. He even called me on a couple of occassions to see how things were going. Thanks Bill, you brought a lot of joy into my life.

Well, I've had my wolfdog from you for a year now. He is still a wary, playful, healthy bundle of joy. He thinks I'm "mamma" and I am the only one he readily comes to for pets. My partner is his "Bark bites" tasty treats he speaks and sits, lays down, rears up to get, buddy but rarely gets to touch him. While he does have coat coloring similar to a Malamute, that is were all the dog in him is. He has the conformation, habits, voice and, personality of a wolf as well as the coat texture of a wolf. I love how few baths he actually needs, and that he will willingly get in the tub - usually uninvited when I'm trying to soak, if he thinks he's too smelly which has bee twice so far. Health wise, he is still and, always has been in perfect health. He sailed through vaccinations except Bordatella, which I did have to give him Benadyl after and, he never got a second dose of that (common problem for wolfdogs) My vet is familiar with them, so knows he does not need a rash of vaccines, just the first year series then, rabies every three years. Of course he's on monthly heart worm prevention and a strapping 90 lbs now. Great animal and, I'd recommend your stock to anyone wanting a wolfdog.

Have had hybrid timber and artic wolves for 15 years. They were put down because of old age. These were perfect companions. Very protective, we tunnelled together and had tree houses and toys so they could explore on our acreage... I highly recommend a wolf as a companion.

I had 3 german shepherds and lost all them within 6 months of each other, my oldest was my heart, she was 13....anyway my big male was part wolf and he was one of a kind.....so loving and a true gentle giant, but very dominant over any other animal...as long as the others were submissive, there was never a problem and he was ALWAYS submissive to me.....never showed any aggression even with his food.....I fell in love with all of his wolf traits and would love to get a hybrid with high content.........My dogs were not just dogs, they were my family....
