Thank you for the wonderful time we had in Long Road! Everybody was so warm and friendly, we felt like we already knew them many years! In Zion Country you get everything you need and Owen cooked the best meals we've had during our whole trip. Zion Country is such a peaceful and perfect place to relax bacause Long Road is a small and quiet community, but you can still walk down to the "main road" and catch a routetaxi and drive to the beaches or bigger cities in the area.
We're already working out some plans for our return next year !!

Ottima scelta quella di trascorrere le prime 2 notti allo ZION COUNTRY, ma volendo si starebbe benissimo anche per più notti. Certo, non è adatto per chi cerca vita notturna, piuttosto per coloro che, come noi, cercavano il modo di assaporare lentamente il Paese. Il posto è molto friendly, le camere essenziali ma pulite, buona sia la colazione che l\'abbondante cena. La guesthouse si compone di varie strutture sparse nel giardino -molto curato - e digradante verso il mare. La sera si fa amicizia con gli altri ospiti della guesthouse, trascorrendo la serata a chiacchierare attorno al tavolo posizionato nella terrazza principale. Non sembra di essere ospiti ma abitanti stessi della guesthouse, come se si fosse a casa con vari amici, spesso stranieri, il che rende il posto, a mio avviso, ancora più interessante. Free-I il manager olandese che ha creato tutto questo, è molto disponibile.
Dista circa 45 minuti da Port Antonio e 1h e mezza dall\'aeroporto di Kingston.
Consigliato sicuramente!

We want to thank you for the very great time. For me it was the 3rd stay at the Zion Country (of 3 times in Jamaica) an the very first time for Sonja.
We both love your place, your hospitality and last but not least the food of the best chef in Jamaica, Owen.
We did with you the trip to the Blue Mountains (very geat) and to the Reach Falls (the most beautiful falls, I ever saw, so I visited them every time since I stayed at you the first time in 2005. I like them much more than Y.S. and Dunns River counted together).
Its very easy to make trips by your own, so we spent our time at Winnifred Beach, Blue Lagoon, Frenchmans Cove, San San Bay, but in the end, we had to less time for beautiful Long Bay. Next time, when we are here, we stay a few days longer.
Thank you for the great dinner at Christmas Eve!
Whenever in Jamaica, we go to Zion Country!

We were just reminiscing all the fun we had at Zion Country during the rainy season of 2007. We loved exploring the community and meeting locals. There is no better place to relax; Owen is an amazing chef- I still dream of some of the meals he prepared for us, and of course our after-dinner ritual. There was nothing better than the strong Blue Mountain coffee to cure the previous evening\'s over consumption of white rum! We married this past November and are saving up for our honeymoon- we will definitely be back to hang! Many thanks for a lovely time! Peace and love to Free-I, Owen, Mark & Nick (taxi drivers), and the wonderful young man that took us to the blow holes. The daily swims were wonderful, and I especially loved the outdoor showers looking into the bay. Zion Country is super close to cool spots like the Blue Lagoon, Frenchman\'s Cove, Long Bay, and Boston Bay. We loved walking down the road leading to Port Antonio- sugar cane fields to your left with the Blue Mountains in the distance and the beautiful Caribbean Ocean on your right. We made so many memories that we\'ll never forget. The little food place Owen told us about- mama\'s house I think he called it- was amazing. You have built a glorious piece of heaven there, Free-I! My husband and I were at Zion Country for the Christmas, just want to thank Free I for making our stay peaceful. Want to also thank you very much for a nice Christmas Eve meal very very nice and kind of you to do that. I recomend if you are easy going laid back not fusy person this is the place for you. the view from the cabin looking over the bay is so so nice.We enjoy the out door showers and cold water loved it. No tv no out let inside the cabins which was just fine with us. Very very relaxing. The locals were very friendly.The weather was just great for that time of the year.Just remember it is not a 5 star hotel. It is a great place just to chill. THANKS FREE I sorry we did not get to say good bye. Bless and Respect.

My wife and I stayed at Zion Country for 2 nights in the 3rd week of April, 2012. It was our first stop on a drive around the island after renting a car at the end of a week in Kingston. We were extremely happy to be able to sit back on the balcony outside our room and take in a very beautiful view of a bay.

I think Free-I has done a great service seeing the potential for beach cabins on this hillside and realizing his vision in the manner he has. Like the other positive reviewers have explained in detail at TripAdvisor.com, I too appreciated the opportunity to be comfortable in a quiet part of Jamaica away from tourist places and explore the area.

As Free-I recommends, before booking here you should read up on it, at their website and in the reviews, because it might not be the place for everyone. You are right on the hillside, surrounded by lush nature, so don't be surprised if at night the crickets and frogs may be very loud. If you are OK with that as well as with steep stairways and (clean) modest cabins, Zion Country is a very special place. A tip: if you hope to be fed upon arrival, do arrange with them ahead of time so they can be prepared for that.

We highly recommend Zion Country and are hoping to be able to stay there a for a full week when we next return to Jamaica.

Words really can’t do justice to the beauty of Zion Country and the surrounding area.
I can’t express enough thanks to Free-I, Owen and Tamara for their hospitality.

We had a great stay of 9 days with two teenaged boys along with us. The dinners were delicious, the owner and staff wonderful folks to talk to and go on adventures with, and the property was truly an oasis! We had a lovely time where all who were at the place became friends.
