2010 is the first year we in Bloomington-Normal have had any kind of pro baseball team. The Normal Cornbelters organization has done an incredible job putting this team together and getting such a beautiful ballpark built. The games are fun to go to and I really hope this community will support this new team and they can be a member of this very good league for many years. I think it shows the level of commitment the owners of this franchise have by getting former Astros manager Hal Lanier to be the first manager of the team. I look forward to many years watching this league.

Informative site, thanks for taking the time! I am especially interested in the different versions of the game balls as I am also a collector. You have pictures of four types and there is a fifth; not sure if you were aware. Maybe I'll see you at a game sometime, I attend Gateway Grizzlie games often.

I'm the former General Manager of the 1997 Frontier League Champs...The Canton Crocodiles. It's cool to see the scorecards we designed and to think back on that great season...the second half anyway!! We had a blast in Canton!

I am a big Frontier Legaue fan and was a supporter of the Richmond Roosters. I am the person who provided you with the picture of their last home lineup card. I make regular trips to Chillicother to watch the Paints and also to Champion Window Field in Flornece, KY. Your website really does the Frontier League, their teams past and present, and players a great service. You have done a super job with your website. Thank You! Todd Osborne

We are huge minor league baseball/ballparks fans. Since 1988 we have visited well over 80 towns, mostly forsaking the major league fluff. Now, with a new RV, we have discovered both the Frontier and Northern Leagues...and so close to home. We have visited nine FL parks. Some times the teams were away, a couple times we were rained out (both River City and Gateway...darn). We caught a game this year at Traverse City where my kids live. WOW, what a facility. Our home park was Marinelli in Rockford, and now Road Ranger...another great facility. We were fans of the crusty, old places; however some of the newer digs in the minors, and especially the Independents, are pretty darned comfortable. We will again have FL cities on our vacation itineraries this year and next. Great site.

It is great to see so many sites interested in independent baseball.

Playing for Peanuts is a docu-reality show about independent minor league baseball. We are hoping to bring it to TV in the fall and your interest and support is crucial. Check out this 6 minute reel and our website www.playingforpeanuts.com

Your F.L. History Website is a fantastic resource for Frontier League Information. Tim, you do a very nice job in compiling all this information and a better job of presenting it.

I've been a F.L. fan since the League brought a team to Crestwood, IL first as the Cook Countty Cheetahs and now the Windy City ThunderBolts. Seeing and understanding what went on in the League, prior to that, has helped me gain more knowledge about the early years of the Frontier League. A big thank you goes to you, for that!
