Clapping

We began RSM this week. I am not sure how the clapping exercise should be. Specifically, lesson A 3 warm up, "One, Two, Buckle my Shoe. Ask her to say it while clapping only on the numbers." Does that make it, (clap) pause (clap)(clap) "Buckle my Shoe."

What is the goal with clapping?

Thank you for any clarification you may have!

Re: Clapping

Bethany,

Thank you for your message. We are excited for your new school year and for having RightStart be part of it.

In the Level A Lesson 3 you should clap at the same time as saying the numbers. Therefore every time you say the numbers one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine or ten you clap while saying them. For example you would start with One (clap once while saying one), Two (clap once while saying two), Buckle my shoe (no clapping during this time) and so on. Only one clap no matter the value of the number.

I hope this helps, please let me know if we can help with anything else.

Make it a great day,

Cassie
