My daughter's worksheet asks her to construct a circle with a 2" radius.

She has no idea how to do that! Nothing's shown her how to do that yet. Am I missing something?

I got out the compass, told her there were 2.5 cm in an inch, so we needed to use 50 mm, and helped her draw the circle. She was utterly bewildered, but went with it to get to the pentagon.

She was just as bewildered last lesson when asked to guess the area of the circle and the circumference. She didn't even remember learning what a circumference was (did I teach her that? I couldn't remember, but we just talked through it.)
