9 year old starting level E-Is it too soon?

I did level B in 1st, C in 2nd and D in third. We always did about 2 hours a day. I assumed each level was designed to be completed in a traditional school year. NOw, I find out that after Level E which we just began, that all that is left is Hands on Geometry and then guess what? He's had all the math through middle school. OMG!!! My kid is 9 and is just starting 4th grade. What should I do??? Continue on with E or is that way too difficult for him?

Re: 9 year old starting level E-Is it too soon?

Linda,

Thank you for your message. Have no worries, your child will be just fine doing Level E in the fourth grade.

As you know, each child works at their own level, but Level E is equivalent to Grade 4, therefore your son is right on track. We do recommend that next he begins the RightStart Mathematics: A Hands-On Geometric Approach, with half way through he begins VideoText. This should take him at least 2 years if not more. When complete, he can continue on with the VideoText programs through high school graduation.

I hope this helps, if you have any additional concerns, please let me know.

Make it a great day,

Cassie
