First I'd like to apologize for the tardy response. Sorry to hear of your difficulties.

I'm sure you know that math knowledge is not related to age any more than knowledge of a foreign language is. Fibonacci numbers are found in biology, but their underlying value in this lesson is their pre-algebra content. Please email me if this explanation is unclear, " In Problem 4, n refers to the position in the Fibonacci sequence and fn refers to the actual number. Thus, when n is 3, fn is 2 and when n is 6, f is 8 and f is 13 and f is 21."
