Don't think I am doing this correctly

My first post, and first time reading through some of the
suggestions. Hope I can clear up some of my own frustrations.

I am feeling like I am failing at RS. I follow the lessons but find
them very time consuming and difficult for my kids to follow. An
idea can be introduced one day but the next day we move on to
something different. I keep seeing the Table of Contents where it
suggests how many days to try to cover off something and think - its
too much for my kids to catch on to. More repetition would be
beneficial. I have started to look for more of the games to go along
with the teaching and they both like that. Right now my son Noah who
has learning difficulties as it is can't grasp the lesson about
Mental Short Cuts in Level C. I don't know whether to stay on that
lesson until it is understood, back up and review old stuff or just
move on and hope it will be dealt with again down the road.

I want to keep going with this program as I think it is a good one
but need some advice from others. Following the lessons as suggested
in the manuals isn't working.

Thanks to anyone who can share their advice.

Sincerely,
Tamie
(Noah - age 9, level C, Kailee-Ann - age 7, level B)

Re: Don't think I am doing this correctly

Dear Tamie,
I am sorry you are having trouble with the lessons in Level C. Could you please specify which lesson number is causing the difficulty? That would help me respond better.

I would recommend playing the games until you feel he is ready to move forward. Also, with children who have special learning needs you might not be able to expect complete understanding at first. It often takes many repetitions before the concept is mastered.

Please let me know the lesson number and I will see what I can do about answering it better. Thanks. Nancy
