Geometry Solution Page 147-2

Solution Page 147-2:

We think there is a typo in the calculation for the volume on this page. This is how we worked it out:

V = 1/3 BH

V = 1/3 x 10 squared x 10

V = 333 cm cubed

The lesson states that the height of the pyramid is the perpendicular distance from the base to the apex which is the length of one side or 10 cm.

However, the solution page shows the height as 1. Shouldn't this be a 10? The answer given is 333 cm cubed which is only true if the problem is 10 cubed divided by 3, not 10 squared divided by 3.

We don't see an errata for this page.

Thanks,
Julia & Liam
