I you continue in the program you will learn, by experience, that there is a family tree of shapes.
It is quite fascinating.

You have a parallelogram, a closed figure with four sides and each opposite side is parallel-two pairs of parallels.
Then comes a rectangle, same definition as a parallelogram, but now it must have four right angles.
Then comes the square, same definition as the parallelogram and rectangle, but now it must be four equal lengths one each side.

So you can have a square always be a rectangle and a parallelogram but a parallelogram or rectangle may not always be a square.

This is a fun learning process and well worth the understanding as it comes in handy in real life.
