I have a friend trying to decide on math for her soon to be 3rd grader. He'd probably do transitions and level C. One question I couldn't answer is, what if he goes to school some later year? Will he be confused because of the ways that RS is not traditional?
Although he's quite bright, he's ADHD and math is not his best subject so his mom doesn't want to expose him to too many ways of doing things. She thinks he would get confused.
Any guesses as to how he'd do if he went to a private
school in a few years or even one year. If this was already addressed, please let me know the message number.
How kind of you to be checking things out for your friend. I'm pleased to say that as you may well know, RightStart is ahead of traditional curriculums. He will do quite fine returning to the classroom and may very well be ahead of his classmates. If math is an area he struggles with than he needs to move into the RightStart curriculum where his math level is and I think you are good to have them look into Level C.
