I am hoping that some of you can help me. My gr-gr-gr grandmother was Mary Lilly, born about 1805 in Virginia. The man she would marry, John Lee, was born in 1800 in Virginia.

The families apparently both moved to Alabama, where John Lee and Mary Lilly married in Madison County on 12 Jan 1826.

The couple had the following children:

Martha Lee 1827–1925

David Lee 1828–1916

Jesse Lee 1830–1866

Alonzo Lee 1833–1922

Julia Ann Lee 1836–1914

Sarah Lee 1838–1875

William Frank Lee 1841–

Mary Lilly Lee died in the early 1840s, and is buried (according to family legend) in Kennamer Cove; however, if that is the case, the grave has been lost. The family certainly had the means to bury her with a lasting marker so we could be wrong about the burial.

John Lee came to Texas after the War and is buried in Nacogdoches. I am lost on tracing Mary Lilly's family.
