My great grandmother Rebecca Ann Phillips-Wells married widower Ballard P. Lilly on 4/24/1897 in Hinton he was 47 widow and she was 32 divorced with 3 kids His parents are Thomas & Rebecca LIlly
and her parents were Joseph F. Phillips & Mary Ann Phillips
Ballard was a carpenter on the marriage register.
I show is birthday 1850. see the 1860 census gives his age as 10years old.
I would appreciate any information on this family and any pictures would be great.
Also what is the date for the Reunion.
I understand that my great uncle John Chapman wells had changed his name to Lilly and perhaps his descendts would be there.
My great grandfather was Ballard Preston Lilly and I don't think there was another. He raised his children in Crab Orchard. My grandmother is one of his children and she is alive to tell his story. She was born in 1918.
