I am writing a book on West Virginia veterans. One of those is PFC Willard J. D. Lilly of Odd, Raleigh Co., WV. He received the Distinguished Service Cross (second only to the Medal of Honor) for extraordinary heroism while serving with Merrill's Marauders in June 1944.

I would like to get any additional information that I can on PFC Lilly to honor him in this book. Thanks.

she indicated his wife was much younger than he was and is still alive...I can run down a mailing address for her as my mom indicated she has an address for her...
