I am a descendant of James Lilly who came to Charleston SC from Ireland in the 1700's and settled first in Upper Fishing Creek SC and then went to Lee County and Pontotoc County MS. His son was James Lawrence Lilly and my great grandfather was Minette Durock Lilly and my grandfather was Lawrence Melvin Lilly. They were primarily in MS for a long time until the late 1800's when they started for Texas and some of them ended up in Arkansas (magazine) and then Grayson County Texas.
