Garrett and I hit Sluice Pond this morning. I was hoping he would catch some sun fish and become addicted to the sport. It's a little self serving, but I think it worked. 5 people were fishing and Garrett was the only kid pulling in fish. He landed 5 sun fish, 2 perch and a Larry! It was hilarious. He caught the smallest sun fish I had ever seen. It was so small, the hook was about 1/2 the size of the fish (think Tommy's Pick at Joe B's). So, I figured, what the hell, I will put on a larger hook, a big bobber and see what will grab the thing. 5 minutes later, he landed a 2lb Larry and had a blast bringing it in. We are going to hit another pond tomorrow, so another update to follow... Have a great holiday weekend!
