Lake County Sheriff Chris Daniels lost his life while participating in the Battle of Badges event in New Smyrna Beach on Saturday, October 14, 2006.  This space was created for those who knew Sheriff Daniels to express their comments, thoughts, and feelings about the lawman, father, friend, and sheriff that he was.

Our thoughts in memory of Chris Daniels

On behalf of my entire family and my two daughters of whom are both Volusia County Deputies, we would like to express our heart felt condolences to the family of Sheriff Chris Daniels and to the employees of the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Daniels Died like a hero while participating in a worth while event to help florida's Sheriff's youth ranch children.

May God bless all who knew chris with warm and loving memories of this very wonderful & kind man.

Rest in peace Chris ... We will miss you ...
