Louis Vanasse and Emelie Laporte in Low , western Quebec .
After much research , it is my belief that this Louis Vanasse was the son of Charles Vanasse and Louise Beland who were from Maskinonge and died at St Elie de Caxton Quebec . In 1851 this family was at South Gower Ontario where it seems that their daughter Claire married Jean Noel Arcand at nearby Kemptville .Louis Vanasse had his first child Charles baptized in 1859 at South Gloucester Ontario . They also had a child Elizabeth baptized in 1863 at St Paulin . The record gives their reseidence as Caxton and the godparents were Louis' brother Francois and wife Domthilde Bellefeuille .In the 1901 census Louis gives his birth date as Nay 7 1820 but he was actually born on May 7 1831 . Within question Louis belongs to this family .
