Larry & and the Nancys - Adventure Ridin'

The big adventure ride is winding down. Just one day left for riding. We're in Veronia, a 68 mile day (our longest). Tomorrow 45 miles +/- and we'll be in Portland and ready to catch the big bird on Wed a.m.

Weather has been SENSATIONAL! The girls are wearing sleeves and knickers early and shedding as the day goes along. We've only had a half day of very light rain for the whole trip. Despite its reputation, this area actually gets less rain in July and August than Tennessee.

The Great Northwest is well named. The scenery is spectacular. Our route, in the main, has kept us on low traffic volume roads. Local drivers have been extremely courteous. The big log trucks -- well, they're really big and they go really fast. Fortunately, we've minimized our interaction with same.

Even though we've had a great time and hate to see it end, we are very much looking forward to home, familiar faces and friend-filled rides.

Oh, P.S., on this trip, without Cary to hold us back, we've done NO HITCHIN'.

See you soon! Adventure Always!
