Bike your Park weekend - Reservations Required

To celebrate National Bike Your Park Day and Virtual BRAT, we have reserved 5 primitive camp sites (no water, no electricity) at Henry Horton State Park for Friday, September 25th through Sunday September 27.

We plan to ride from Murfreesboro, leaving Friday, September 25th in the afternoon probably from the Rockvale area (yet to be confirmed) – it’s about a 30-35 mile ride on beautiful country roads – camp two nights, and ride home on Sunday. On Saturday – There will be an optional 50 mile ride or a 30ish mile ride for anyone interested, led by Heather Spiva of BRAT.

The park also offers hiking, kayaking/canoeing, skeet and trap shooting, disc golf, golf, fishing and birding as well as shorter ride options, and just laying around in your hammock options.

We have a limit of two tents, or a tent and a hammock, or two hammocks per campsite – so the first 10 people to respond will be guaranteed a camp spot. The club is covering the cost of these sites.

If you’d rather have a designated camp site for a tent or a camper/RV or prefer the comfort of the lodge – you can contact the park directly and make that reservation. Henry Horton State Park (the club will not cover that cost)

If you do not want to or do not have the means to carry your gear on your bike there will be SAG available. Limit two bags per person for SAG.

Once we know who is going, we will finalize the route plans and provide additional details about the weekend.
