I posted before about a planned racetrack (motorsports enclave) being planned for the area adjacent to New Castle and Spanntown roads. Several of you have signed a petition, but we need more help.

I would like to ask everyone to CALL your respective Rutherford County commissioner and voice your objection. We cannot let them feel like it is only those who live on Spanntown (and a lot of those are Williamson CO) who object. The developer has put up at least three (as of this writing) YouTube videos, trying to make it look like this will fit in with the rural neighborhood, claiming it is not a "race" track, it's just a place for car enthusiasts to go "for a sunny Sunday drive"; that they are respective of the environment, etc. But the fact remains it is a place for high-performance car enthusiasts to let out their inner Mario Andretti. The developer has tried to downplay the noise and traffic, but at the same time keeps expanding his plan. People can use the track and other facilities any day of the week, not just when they have 'an event'. He has overstated the amount of traffic generated on Spanntown due to the RenFest, and understated the amount of traffic he would generate.

Whose ready for Saturday afternoon’s like this?". Turn on your speaker and play the video. Have some ear plugs handy.
