Huge thank you to all the volunteers that made yesterday's HOT 100 a great day!! We had around 220 registered riders with no major accidents!!
Thank you to my HOT 100 intern, Valerie Evans - she truly stepped up and made the last three days run so very smoothly. Valerie is going to be awesome as your new HOT 100 Ride Director, and I feel very confident handing the event over to her - she will do great things with this event!!
A Registration First Timer - Amanda Hall - you rock sister!! Thank you for taking on and managing the pre-ride packet pick-up and the day of Registration. Your organizational skills and people skills were indispensable!
Our newest Rest Stop Coordinator Gary McClain - the Rest Stops were great - you did a fantastic job getting the right volunteers at each stop, managing the food, not freaking out when the water didn't get delivered, and generally organizing this part of the event meticulously!
Our newest SAG Coordinator - Izzy Marcella - you did a great job working with the HAM guys and keeping our routes covered and our riders safe!!
Tom Delker and the HAM Radio volunteers - they work tirelessly all day long keeping an eye on our riders, and making sure the last rider gets in safely.
Bob Barkley and your merry band of Dan Henry painters!! I heard many many comments about how well the route was marked. Thanks to all of you who gave up hours of your time, riding the route, hopping out of your car and spray painting the Dan Henrys all along the route. You can know who those folks are by the orange paint on their shoes. :)
Tom Campbell did an amazing job of securing sponsorships and terrific door prizes. Tom worked tirelessly since January on this part of the event. Thank you Tom and I hope you are resting and healing up well from your knee replacement this week.
Denine Snyder - what can I say - the t-shirts turned out beautiful! The Event Posters, and the signs we used day of - were so well put together!! Thank you so much for being part of our club and for the amazing design work that you do.
And our end of the event Clean Up Coordinator - Sara Pollard - thank you so much for getting a great team together and cleaning up our rest stop supplies and repacking our event trailer. We always know that our trailer supplies will be ready for the next event.
And I would be remiss if I didn't thank my behind the scenes people who aren't designated as "Coordinators" but who always step up and go above and beyond the day before and the day of the HOT 100! David and Janey Drye, Jennifer Dooley, Steve Lovett, Bob Barkley, Bill Heim, Vergle Young - and I'm sure I've forgotten someone, please forgive me - but these folks always step up and do what needs being done without being asked. Hauling the trailer, running to SAMs club at the last minute to get water, sorting the rest stop stuff, and generally making the event happen.
THANK YOU! Me and my group from Harpeth Bike Club had a great day doing the HOT100! Great route, perfect weather, wonderful hosts! Hope 2 do it again next year!
