Join me for a hike in the woods on Saturday morning, December 9.
The trail head is about a 2 hour drive from Murfreesboro, just east of Sparta. The trail is 4.7 mile loop and is considered moderate difficulty. I hiked it in May and found it to be a beautiful trail. Took about 2 hours to hike.
The trail is in the Virgin Fall's/Bridgestone Firestone Centennial Wilderness. I have confirmed with TWRA that deer season ends Friday - so we are safe to hike on Saturday.
Meet up at Lascassas Baptist Church Parking Lot at 7:30 a.m. for carpooling/caravaning to trail head or meet us at the trail head.
Bring water and snacks for the trail and be sure to wear sturdy shoes.
After the hike - we will stop in Sparta and have lunch at Jacks Top BBQ and Home Cooking http://www.jackssheerdelights.com at 22 Mayberry St. Sparta, TN. 38583.
If you are planning to join us - please let me know if I should expect to see you at LBC or at the Trail Head.
