An Invitation to the Track! - Tuesday, September 26

During the cool weather months, Harpeth Bike Club club sponsors a ride each Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. These rides resume next Tuesday, September 26, and will continue until next May, weather permitting. Larry Lewis, HBC Ride Chair has invited our members to join HBC at the Track any time, but especially for the Kickoff next Tuesday. The HBC will provide pizza and drinks on that occasion. There will also be a special program for kids younger than 14, who are invited to ride on the inner track.

Participation is FREE for everyone next Tuesday and is always free for a one-time visit. After that, one must be a member of the Harpeth Club to ride at the Track. We are compelled to impose this requirement because we are charged a handsome fee each time we use the Speedway. Membership in the Harpeth Club costs only $30 per year for individuals, or $45 for a family membership. This may be a particularly attractive opportunity for any of you who work in the Nashville area and otherwise would be limited to weekend rides during the winter.

Here's the standard information about the Track -

Each Tuesday - 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. - The Track at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway! - The Track is open on Tuesday nights for the cool-weather months. As always, this is the HBC's most unique event, drawing large crowds of riders who can participate in a fast paceline or take it calmly in the outer lanes. You must be an HBC member to ride at the Track, except for one-time visitors. In the interests of safety, please pass through the big gate and park in the rear instead of at the front entrance.

All riders at the Track must strictly observe the rules for riding there, which are specifically designed to enhance the safety and enjoyment of all participants. Please review and follow these rules carefully:
