Tuesday Club Ride -- Annual Moonlight Ride from Patterson Baptist

It’s that time of year again…time for our popular annual Moonlight Ride to Chapel Hill. Ride will start at 5:30pm from PBC, and we should arrive in Chapel Hill by 7pm, while it is still light out. Dinner at Subway, and then a ride back to PBC on low-traffic roads in the dark. A good headlight and rear blinky are required, and reflective clothing is encouraged.

We previously have done this as a metric century, a 50 mile ride, and a 47.5 mile ride. I’m going with a modified 47.5 mile version that keeps us off of Sub Station Road, which has been in poor condition.

Everyone is free to do what they wish, but I would encourage everyone to make this an easy, conversational ride. At a minimum, we will stay in groups, and no one will be left alone.

If you don’t want to do the full route, there are multiple opportunities to cut the route short, including Hidden Valley (at mile 10) or Kingdom Road (at mile 13). Those options shorten the route to ~20 and ~27 miles respectively.

Reminder: Charge your lights tonight!

...or change your batteries. Also, it looks like the temps will be cool, so bring warmers/vests/etc. if you think you'll need them.
