Re: 18th McMinnville Sq. Ride

The ride will stay entirely within the Collins River valley. We will use roads other than Hwy 56 where they are available. The outbound leg will leave the public square at 9:30 and head down Depot Bottom to join Hwy 56 near Shellsford Road. We will go around the north shoulder of Ben Lomand Mountain on Hwy 56 to Northcutt Cove Road to Irving College and there rejoin Hwy 56 to Beersheba Springs. We will regroup at the Tarlton Church to use their facilities. The outbound leg is 23 miles in length. After a tour of the village and store stop, we will use the same route back to Irving College. There we will turn east to connect with Turner Bend. On this road we will have good views of the river and a large Indian mound. We will regroup at the Smyrna Church of Christ which will confuse the Rutherford County riders. We will ride the last 5 miles back to McMinnville on the same roads to eat at the Collins River BBQ.

This route is a little different from the advertised route in an effort to keep the ride under 50 miles. We will riding in outlying areas so the teaching found in Philippians 3:2 should be heeded.

Colonel Corley - Once again we are so disappointed that we will not be able to join the brigade for your ride. It will be MT Homecoming here in the Boro and the accompanying festivities (and the GAME) cannot be missed. See you next week for the MAN RIDE. Josie and Martha

Re: 18th McMinnville Sq. Ride

Do we have driving directions to starting point?

Re: 18th McMinnville Sq. Ride

Depart Murfreesboro to the east on Hwy 70S through Woodbury to McMinnville. Follow the business district signs to the Warren County Courthouse located one block east of Chancery Street. There are three tall church steeples in the vicinity to guide your progress. It is a typical Tennessee public Square lay out. Park near the fountain in the center of the square.
