What give's I'm averaging a flat abut every 50 miles is this common and what else can I do on my end to prevent it? I run 120-125psi in my tires and always check them before I ride. Would upgrading tpma better tire help?Thanks for the advice

if it's the same tire - I would suggest that you check it a bit more closely for a piece of glass or wire that is embedded in the tire - if it's not the same tire - spring for some Gators or something w/ Kevlar in them.

Another thing to check is the rim tape. If a spoke is sticking through or the valve stem hole is unprotected you can get flats from that. Try putting the tires on with just your hands, using tire tools to put a tire on can cause pinch flats. Just as Sarah said, Gatorskins are very good to prevent flats. Also check to see if the hole in the tube is always in the same place, it could help you track down the problem.
