The Rutherford County Planning Department and its consultant team will let the public share input about long-term development at four upcoming meetings.

Meetings will be at 6 p.m. The dates and locations are:

The county’s future comprehensive plan will bring the citizens, public officials and other groups together in developing a shared vision for land use decision-making in the County; the plan is scheduled to be complete in approximately one year.


A Steering Committee appointed by the County Commission will work closely with the planning team to prepare the Comprehensive Plan. The planning team recently completed a number of public outreach meetings to involve different groups in the planning process.
