Tuesday's Spanntown Ride

Glad to see some new faces (and some not-so-new faces) out on the Spanntown ride on Tuesday. I didn't catch the name of the lady that took the animal-assisted spill, but I hope you are doing well and hope to see you back out on a ride again soon.

Sarah -- Following up on your question, Tuesday's route had 1,169 feet of climbing which works out to 60 feet of climbing per mile. Based on my observations, the routes we generally think of as "flat" around here are about 30-40 feet/mile of climbing.

Other rides of reference:
-Nashville Speedway lane 2/3: 30 feet/mile
-Nashville Speedway lane 3/4: 40 feet/mile
-Two County Metric: 51 feet/mile
-HOT Metric Route: 55 feet/mile
-Slovetts' Bell Buckle Ride: 62 feet/mile
-Natchez Trace 25 mile: 74 feet/mile
-Yvonne's Winter Del Thomas/Independent/Paw Paw lung-buster: 105 feet/mile

Re: Tuesday's Spanntown Ride

Just spoke with Rosalind. She is quite sore this evening but was headed for bed. Pharmacist at Walgreens helped her with the artifical skin, and helped her put it on. She should heal up well.

She said she plans to ride with us again - was not discourged, just sore.

Thanks for the info on the climbing! Good to know.

Hope JT was fun!!
