Re: Re: Re: 5:30pm Thursday Ride - Spanntown

Hey guys, Ed and I have a funeral to be at and won't be able to ride. I would suggest due to the weather that you pick your parking spot carefully or maybe use the church's side lot. The yard was a BIG LAKE when I left this morning and I'd hate for you to get stuck and have to be towed out. That would ruin a great ride and I'm not really sure of the pulling power of your bikes! Enjoy the ride and wish we were there.

Re: Re: 5:30pm Thursday Ride - Spanntown

Weather.com says it'll be sunny and mid-upper 60's this afternoon. Assuming that's true, I hope to see you there!

Re: Slight Location Change

Due to the lake in Ed & Dorothy's yard, we'll park at the church right beside Ed & Dorothy's house (NW corner of Spanntown and Almaville Roads). Enter the parking lot from Almaville Road.

Thanks for the heads-up Dorothy!

I'm going to trying and make it to welcome Mark B. home!!
Missed you, but I'm sure that won't last long when you drop me!!

Nice ride. As a new member it was great to meet all. Cool MBC jerseys. What was the road name with the 3 larger hills? I'd like to re-visit it. No, didn't leave my lungs, but willing to leave my blown up sinuses. Just practice. Have a great day!

Re: Re: Re: 5:30pm Thursday Ride - Spanntown

Fred, It was great to have you out with us. I think you're talking about Coleman Hill Road, which is a nice road. The other road that we did at the very end (near where we parked) was Spanntown Road. It has the 2 monster hills at the beginning, a 3rd major one a mile or two later, and maybe a 4th good hill after that. I quit counting after a while.

We look forward to seeing you out again soon.
