Bike Show photos

In case you're interested in the fuss that is NAHBS at Indy this year. Here's a big stack of photos. I'm not the photographer. Many more out there if you look.

Was a great show, met many new-to-me folks from forum friends (photo credit) to local Indy talent (Tim O'Donnell) to Chris King, to the rock star famous Dario Pegoretti. Many others plus renewing last year's handshakes and conversations.

For those who think that "handbuilt" means steel and lugs and too expensive, you should know that materials there were steel, titanium, carbon, aluminum, and bamboo. There were lots of wooden fenders and wheels too--as well as carbon and aluminum wheels and fenders. Frames-as far as I've looked start around 1500 with fork for tigged steel.

It's just a great place for a bike nut. I had a wool cap (with ear flaps!) made by Snappy Caps of Nebraska-on site, made to measure, select your swatch, etc.

Next year's location has yet to be decided, but I'll go whether I fly or drive.
